千峰萬壑似雲飛(천봉만학사운비)

五宿松京今日歸(오숙송경금일귀)

望遠山光鋪錦褥(망원산광포금욕)

觀光皆是古人非(관광개시고인비)

온 산 골짜기와 봉우리가 휘날리는 구름 같아라.

개성에서 닷새 지내고 나 오늘 돌아가네.

멀리 바라보니 산들은 비단 요를 깔아놓은 듯.

풍경은 그대로인데 사람은 옛 사람이 아니구나.

The valleys of the whole mountain and the peaks are like the clouds rolling.

I spent five days at Kaesong and went back to Seoul.

Looking far away, the mountains seem to have laid silk.

The landscape is same, but people are not old people.

제목 : 題天壽亭詩(제천수정시 : 천수정에 부쳐)

작자 : 중종

해설 : 중종 30년(1535) 개성에 있는 제릉(齊陵)에서 제사를 지낸 뒤 천수정(天壽亭)에서 쉬면서 지은 시이다. 제릉은 태조의 정비(正妃)인 신의왕후 한씨(神懿王后韓氏)의 능이다. 중종은 시를 많이 짓지는 않았는데, 이 시에서는 시원한 자연 경관의 묘사를 통해 제릉에 참배하고 옛 도읍을 순행한 기쁨을 드러내고 있다. 제 1구에서는 수많은 산봉우리와 골짜기의 모양을 휘날리는 구름에 비유하여 생동감을 잘 드러내고 있다. 제 4구에서는 왕조의 흥망을 담담한 어조로 표현하고 있다.

Title : A Poetry written at Cheonsujung (A Pavilion named Heavenly Blessings)

Author: Jungjong, the 11th King of Joseon Kingdom (1506~1544)

Commentary : This poem was written by The King Jungjong in His 30th year of reign (1535), at the Cheongsujung after the ceremony at Jeleung located in Kaesong, formerly the capital city of Koryeo Kingdom. Jeleung is the royal tomb of the Queen Han, the Queen of Taejo Yi Seong-Gye, the Founder of Jeseon Kingdom. Jungjong wrote many poetries. Particularly this poetry depicts his joy of visiting the old capital city and the beauty of natural scenery. The first verse describes the numerous mountain peaks and valleys cannot be compared to any other mountains or valleys in Korea. Moreover it depicts the shape of the valleys, that is, rolling clouds to reveal the vividness. In the fourth verse, the fortunes and destinies of the former Kingdom were expressed in a quiet tone.
